| "...I felt that I must write to you and express my thanks to the whole Millington Springs team. Your manager, Julia, should be congratulated for her guidance of care and nursing staff throughout my mothers final few weeks. I chose for Rhoda to stay at home in Millington rather than being transported to die in hospital. I made the right decision, the tender loving care, nursing and understanding shown to my mother and myself was exemplary. Please pass on my thanks to all concerned." |

| "Having spent many hours with my wife over the last 6 months and watch the care and patience given to each individual patient, I now know the thanks that families owe to all the staff involved from carers, cleaners, kitchen staff, nurses and management. A nice and pleasant surprise was the giving of a useful present to each patient by their carer on Christmas Eve in the shape of an item of clothing or toiletries. I am sure the general public are unaware of the staff, equipment and medical supplies needed to keep 24hr care homes running efficiently. After 66 years of married life it was the last thing I wanted for my dear wife to spend her remaining years away from me, but we have no control over Alzheimer's type mental illness and it softens the blow slightly to know she is being taken care of by kind and caring people in her own comfortable room. So once again many thanks and a hearty congratulations on your well earned Quality Care Home Award." |
